Live Free Or Die Alliance Forum Called Off After Goley Refuses To Participate
CONCORD – State Representative and Democrat Senate candidate Jeff Goley has blown off another invitation to debate Representative Dave Boutin – denying District 16 voters any opportunity to hear the candidates discuss the issues. Mr Goley continued his desperate effort to dodge every joint appearance with Mr. Boutin by refusing to appear at a candidates forum organized by the non-partisan Live Free or Die Alliance.
“The Live Free or Die Alliance should be commended for attempting to provide District 16 voters with an opportunity to see their candidates debate the serious matters facing the State of New Hampshire. It’s a shame that Jeff Goley doesn’t have the courage and integrity required to engage in an open and honest discussion of his positions,” said NHGOP Communications Director Ryan Williams. “It’s clear that Jeff Goley is avoiding a debate because he can’t defend his irresponsible votes for the job-killing taxes and reckless spending that are hurting New Hampshire’s economy.”
Dave Boutin had agreed to participate in this forum, but the event has now been called off after Jeff Goley refused to show up. Mr. Goley has rejected every opportunity to participate in a face-to-face debate with Mr. Boutin during this campaign.
The Live Free or Die Alliance is an organization that provides a comprehensive, interactive and nonpartisan venue to inform New Hampshire citizens and to stimulate their interest and engagement in the issues facing our state and communities. The Alliance has hosted numerous forums with high profile New Hampshire officials including Governor John Lynch and Senator Judd Gregg.
